SCADA I/O Check — CN→AU Corridor Maintenance Process

A process guide for verifying supervisory-control I/O mappings on renewable-energy assets shipped along the China → Australia corridor. This page is for tradvolt internal use and approved counterparties; it is not indexed.

Verdict (r14): The 7-step SCADA I/O check produces a signed evidence pack (scope note → baseline config → I/O reconcile → comms validation → alarms/scaling → patch log → QA sign-off) for three equipment families covered by this revision: Sungrow SG125HV (1,500 V DC, Modbus via SCU, governed by the SG125HV User Manual V1.6 2023-08), Huawei SUN2000-330KTL-H1 (1,500 V DC, MBUS/RS485, governed by the SUN2000-(330KTL-H1,275KTL-H1) User Manual Issue 03, 2023-04-30), and CATL LFP battery modules (SOC 5–100 %, 0–1,500 V DC, Modbus register map per the LFP Battery Module Modbus Manual Rev. 2.1). Indicative timeline 15–21 days, signed off by tradvolt QA at Step 7.

How to use this guide. Follow the seven-step sequence below for every periodic SCADA I/O check. Each step lists an owner and the documents that flow in and out. Scope is the three equipment families named in the verdict table above; for other families, derive a separate I/O register map from the relevant OEM manual. The downloadable PDF checklist captures the same evidence trail in a single artifact.

FAQ

What is the purpose of a SCADA I/O check?

It reconciles the physical wiring on an asset with the controller's logical address and the SCADA tag, so that telemetry and control commands map to the correct field equipment. The OEM datasheet or user manual is the reference of record.

How often should the check run?

tradvolt runs a full check after commissioning and after any firmware or hardware change, with periodic spot checks aligned to the OEM service interval (typically annual for SG125HV / SUN2000-330KTL-H1 inverter cabinets; quarterly for CATL LFP BESS racks per OEM BMS recommendation). Site-specific cadence is set in the asset maintenance plan.

What evidence is required?

At minimum: a baseline SCADA configuration export, a reconciled I/O mapping, a communications validation report, and an alarm-and-scaling register — bundled into a single evidence pack for tradvolt QA sign-off.

Does this guide replace OEM service procedures?

No. The OEM manual is authoritative (SG125HV V1.6, SUN2000-330KTL-H1 Issue 03, CATL LFP Rev. 2.1). This guide only standardises how tradvolt captures and reviews the evidence before return-to-service.

Who signs off the evidence pack?

tradvolt QA signs off after Step 7. Site engineering, commissioning, and network engineering each sign the rows they own in the step-sequence table.
