CN→AU Inverter DC-Ripple Maintenance Process Guide (Release R14)

Maintenance & process guide for the China to Australia corridor. Audience: B2B service providers, EPCs, asset managers and procurement teams handling grid-tied inverter service events.

Equipment & scope. This guide covers the procedural sequence for inverter DC-ripple maintenance, including inspection, parts sourcing in mainland China, export/import documentation and on-site re-commissioning. The reference equipment family is the Sungrow SG50CX utility-scale three-phase string inverter (50 kW, 1000 V DC max, 3 MPPTs) [Sungrow product family landing — model-specific datasheet confirmed at RFQ].1 Procedure limits (torque values, DC-ripple thresholds, test points) are taken from the Sungrow SG50CX Service Manual, Rev. 2.1 (2023-08) and the Sungrow SG50CX Datasheet, EN-Rev. 1.4 (2023-06) [Sungrow support — manual & datasheet PDFs supplied at RFQ].2 Horizon: 14 calendar days end-to-end (Day 0 alarm → Day 14 closing report). Evidence date: 2026-09-22. Limitation: this page is a procedural wrapper; the Sungrow SG50CX Service Manual Rev. 2.1 remains the controlling document for any safety-relevant limit.

7. FAQ

7.1 What is “DC ripple” in an inverter?

DC ripple is the residual AC component superimposed on the DC-bus of an inverter. It is measured in volts peak-to-peak (Vpp) and frequency (Hz) and is compared against the limit published by the inverter OEM in the datasheet — for the SG50CX, the relevant limits are stated in the SG50CX Datasheet, EN-Rev. 1.4 (2023-06).

7.2 Why tag the corridor “CN-AU-R14”?

The corridor tag standardises the procedural sequence, the customs dossier and the SLA expectations for maintenance events on inverters sourced or serviced from mainland China and delivered to Australian sites.

7.3 Who owns the root-cause memo?

The Field Service Engineer owns the root-cause memo (see §1, step 7). It must reference the SG50CX fault code and the measurement evidence collected under steps 5 and 6, and cite the SG50CX Service Manual Rev. 2.1 (2023-08) chapter used for diagnosis.

7.4 Are the cost figures in this guide binding?

No. All cost slots in §4 are labelled indicative and are marked PENDING where unsourced. Final pricing is governed by the RFQ response.

7.5 Is this guide a substitute for the OEM service manual?

No. The Sungrow SG50CX Service Manual, Rev. 2.1 (2023-08) and the Sungrow SG50CX Datasheet, EN-Rev. 1.4 (2023-06) remain the controlling documents. This guide describes the cross-border process that wraps around the OEM procedure.
