Maintenance & Process Guide: DC Arc-Flash Label Workflow for the CN→EU CorridorNOINDEX
Decision / verdict: This procedure requires full label replacement on every shipment flag; re-lamination is out of scope. Equipment scope is the EVE Energy LF280K LFP cell (280 Ah, 3.2 V nominal) when packed into Huawei LUNA2000-200 series BESS modules — confirm via the Huawei Smart String ESS Installation Guide, Rev. 04 (Sept 2023) at solar.huawei.com/en and the EVE Energy product page at evebattery.com/en. Horizon is per-shipment, lot size ~120 packs (a tradvolt planning assumption based on a single 40-ft consolidation container, not an OEM-specified quantity). Evidence date: 2026-09-22. Limitation: this guide addresses the DC-side label on the BESS module only; AC-side warnings, transport Class 9 marking and UN packaging certification are out of scope and handled in separate tradvolt guides.
Scope: CN→EU corridor only. R14 is the tradvolt shorthand for the 21st revised edition of the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, consolidated text ST/SG/AC.10/1/Rev.21 (UN Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, Geneva).

Cost slots (indicative)
All figures below are indicative planning slots, not quoted prices. The lot-size basis of ~120 packs is a tradvolt planning assumption (one 40-ft consolidation container at standard pack-out for Huawei LUNA2000-200 modules); it is UNCERTAIN as an OEM-specified quantity and must be re-confirmed against the booking before invoicing. No estimatedCost is exposed in the JSON-LD; reconcile in the live RFQ instead.

HS / duty block
PENDING: HS code, duty rate and any VAT treatment for the labeling service / replacement-label component have not been confirmed against your live TARIC line. Customs treatment depends on whether the label is a service accessory to the battery shipment or a separately invoiced consumable. Confirm with your broker before invoicing using the EU TARIC consultation tool.
Self-adhesive plates of paper/paperboard commonly fall under Chapter 39 / 49; the binding TARIC line at the moment of customs filing applies. EUR-Lex basis: Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 on batteries and waste batteries (European Parliament and Council, OJ L 191, 28.7.2023).

Frequently asked questions
What is “R14” referring to in this guide?
R14 is tradvolt's shorthand for the 21st revised edition of the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods — the consolidated text ST/SG/AC.10/1/Rev.21, issued by the UN Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, Geneva. Confirm the exact edition in force at the time of shipment with your dangerous-goods advisor.
Which equipment family and OEM manual does this procedure apply to?
It applies to EVE Energy LF280K LFP cells when integrated into Huawei LUNA2000-200 series BESS modules. Torque, SOC and voltage limits are taken from the Huawei Smart String ESS Installation Guide, Rev. 04 (Sept 2023) (see solar.huawei.com/en) and the EVE Energy LF280K product specification (see evebattery.com/en). For other equipment families, do not reuse this procedure; request a family-specific guide via the RFQ form.
Who owns the maintenance register?
The EHS Lead owns the row-level sign-off on maintenance-register.xlsx; QA Lead owns the audit-folder sync. Trade Compliance owns the cross-check against the UN 38.3 summary.
Can a degraded label be re-laminated rather than replaced?
No. Re-lamination is out of scope of this guide. The procedure assumes full label replacement whenever the inspection checklist flags degradation, because laminate overlays can obscure required hazard text and invalidate the OEM artwork referenced in the Huawei Smart String ESS Installation Guide, Rev. 04.
Why is the HS / duty block marked PENDING?
Because tradvolt does not publish customs rates. The rate depends on the binding TARIC line at the moment of filing and on whether the label is invoiced separately or bundled with the pack. Use the EU TARIC consultation tool to verify before invoicing.
How do I get the PDF checklist?
Use the “Request the PDF checklist” button at the top of this page; it routes you to the TradVolt RFQ form (topic pre-filled) where you can request the latest version. The previous direct download path is deprecated.
