Maintenance & Process Guide — BMS Commissioning SOP r14 (CN → LATAM)

Verdict: R14 is a 12-step destination-side commissioning SOP (recurring maintenance process) restricted in scope to the Sungrow PowerTitan2.0 utility container and the Sungrow SBH100-400 residential stack family shipped from Sungrow (CN) to LATAM integrators in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Argentina. Cited OEM Service Manual revision: Sungrow PowerTitan2.0 O&M Manual, doc. no. SG-PT2-O&M-EN, Rev. 2.1 (2024-09) (public landing Sungrow PowerTitan2.0) and Sungrow SBH100-400 Installation & Commissioning Manual, doc. no. SG-SBH-I&C-EN, Rev. 1.4 (2024-03) (public landing Sungrow SBH100-400); OEM is the primary source for pre-charge voltage, inrush, C-rate, ΔT limit and self-test duration. The page is a process guide, not a safety certificate. Horizon: every new shipment and every OEM firmware release. Evidence date: 2026-09-22. Limitation: r14 covers one named equipment family; CATL LFP prismatic, EVE LF304, BYD HVS/HVM/MC Cube and Huawei LUNA2000-7/14/21-S1 are explicitly out of scope until a separate revision-specific SOP is published for each.

1. Purpose & scope

This guide defines the recurring commissioning sequence for the battery management system (BMS) of the Sungrow PowerTitan2.0 utility container and the Sungrow SBH100-400 residential stack, shipped on the CN → LATAM corridor. It applies when a LATAM integrator (Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Argentina) takes delivery and a field engineer performs the acceptance and commissioning protocol at destination against the cited Sungrow OEM Service Manual revisions.

In-scope equipment family (OEM Service Manual revision recorded in §10):

Out of scope (named, listed for reference only — no numeric limits inherited from this page):

The corridor carries UN Manual of Tests and Criteria, 38.3 (UN ST/SG/AC.10/11/Rev.7 §38.3) tested cells and packs under several HS codes; the destination side is governed by ANATEL (Brazil — telecom hardware), IFT (Mexico — telecom hardware), SEC (Chile — electrical safety) and SUBTEL (Chile — telecom, separate regulator), plus INC/INMETRO electrical frameworks in Brazil. This SOP is the maintenance layer on top of that regulatory frame: it tells the integrator which doc opens which step and when commissioning is officially complete. All numeric anchors in Steps 5–8 (pre-charge V, inrush A, C-rate, ΔT °C, self-test duration, soak cycle count) are copied verbatim from the OEM Service Manual revision named in §10; the "typ." figures shown in the §2 table are working defaults only.

2. Maintenance process — step sequence

The following table is the master commissioning sequence. One owner per row. "Done-when" is the literal close-out condition that releases the next step. All numeric limits are read off the named Sungrow OEM Service Manual revision.

3. Document checklist (literal filenames)

The integrator's quality system must hold these file names verbatim. Renaming breaks the audit trail against this r14 SOP.

4. Certificate IDs (Step 9 inputs)

RegulatorIdentifier on the unitStatusVerification path
ANATEL (Brazil) ANATEL Homologação ID (e.g. "ANATEL NNNN-NN-NNNN" format) Issued by integrator at commissioning from Sungrow-supplied artwork; integrator records the printed ID into RHR-r14 ANATEL — Certificado de Homologação search
IFT (Mexico) IFT / COFETEL ID Issued by integrator at commissioning from Sungrow-supplied artwork IFT — Equipos Homologados
SEC (Chile) SEC resolution / registration number (electrical safety) Issued by integrator at commissioning from Sungrow-supplied artwork. SEC = Superintendencia de Electricidad y Combustibles (electrical / fuel-gas). SUBTEL = Subsecretaría de Telecomunicaciones (telecom). Distinct regulators; do not conflate. Verify SUBTEL homologación separately for telecom-bearing BMS hardware. SEC — Electricidad (and SUBTEL for telecom: subtel.gob.cl)

5. Destination HS / duty lookup (PENDING — fill at commissioning)

The corridor reference below gives the WCO / national HS lookup path. The actual duty rate for any given consignment is PENDING and must be confirmed by the customs broker against the live national tariff on the date of clearance. This page does not publish duty rates.

6. Timeline (indicative)

Durations below are indicative ranges observed across CN → LATAM corridors. They depend on customs clearance, lab availability at integrator site and Sungrow response on Step 12. Treat them as planning slots, not contractual SLAs.

9. FAQ

Q1. Is this SOP a substitute for UN 38.3 testing?

No. UN 38.3 (UN ST/SG/AC.10/11/Rev.7 §38.3, see the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria page) is a pre-shipment test summary issued by the OEM or test lab. This SOP is the destination-side commissioning protocol that confirms the BMS still meets spec after transport. UN 38.3 is one of the input docs at Step 1.

Q2. Does the SOP cover both cells and packs?

For the in-scope Sungrow family: Step 4 maps module / pack S/Ns to BMS slave addresses. The OEM Service Manual referenced at Step 4 (SG-PT2-O&M-EN Rev. 2.1 for PowerTitan2.0; SG-SBH-I&C-EN Rev. 1.4 for SBH100-400) specifies which mode applies to the SKU. Bare third-party cells are out of scope.

Q3. What happens if Step 7 thermal soak fails?

Step 10 issues an HN-r14 Hold Notice instead of a CC-r14 Commissioning Cert, and Step 12 opens a Sungrow Support Ticket. The pack cannot be energised into service until the Hold is closed.

Q4. How often must re-commissioning run?

The Maintenance Log Entry at Step 11 records the next-due date in the integrator's CMMS. The interval is set by the integrator against the Sungrow warranty terms and the regional regulator's re-inspection cycle; this SOP does not impose a fixed interval.

Q5. Does ANATEL homologação have to be checked at every commissioning?

Yes. The Regulator Hookup Record (Step 9) confirms the ANATEL / IFT / SEC / SUBTEL ID printed on the unit still resolves in the regulator's public database on the date of commissioning (paths in the §4 table). A withdrawn homologação must trigger a Hold.

Q6. Which OEM Service Manual revision applies to my SKU?

Two revisions are in scope, by SKU family. PowerTitan2.0 → SG-PT2-O&M-EN Rev. 2.1 (2024-09) (landing: Sungrow PowerTitan2.0). SBH100-400 → SG-SBH-I&C-EN Rev. 1.4 (2024-03) (landing: Sungrow SBH100-400). Record the revision string in FSV-r14. CATL LFP prismatic, EVE LF304, BYD HVS/HVM/MC Cube and Huawei LUNA2000-7/14/21-S1 are out of scope until a revision-specific SOP is published for each.

Model assumption (not a published fact on the cited OEM pages): all numeric anchors in Steps 5, 6 and 7 (pre-charge voltage, inrush A, self-test duration, C-rate, ΔT °C, soak cycle count) must be copied verbatim from the cited Sungrow Service Manual for the SKU on site. This page does not publish any of those numbers; it routes the engineer to the manual revision recorded in FSV-r14 (SG-PT2-O&M-EN Rev. 2.1 for PowerTitan2.0; SG-SBH-I&C-EN Rev. 1.4 for SBH100-400).
