Decision (r14): This guide defines the 12-step commissioning procedure tradvolt.com uses for CN→UK BMS shipments and the 14 documents required before booking confirmation is issued. Reference equipment family: Sungrow SBH100-400 residential BMS (5 kWh per module, 10–40 kWh per unit, 50 A max charge/discharge, 100% DoD, 0 ms switchover; OEM product page: Sungrow SBH100-400); reference cell: EVE LF304 (304 Ah, 3.2 V LFP prismatic, 4000 cycles to ≥80% @25 °C, 5450 g; OEM product page: EVE LF304). Horizon: pre-shipment (T−21) → archive (T+10). Evidence date: 2026-09-22. Limitation: indicative only — HS/duty code, broker fee, and day-rate cost slots are model assumptions until confirmed per shipment.

| Line item | Indicative? | UNCERTAIN? |
|---|---|---|
| OEM FAT and SoC setting service | Yes | Yes (model assumption) |
| TIB inspection fee (per shipment) | Yes | Yes (model assumption) |
| Shock/tilt loggers (per container) | Yes | No |
| UK customs broker fee (per entry) | Yes | No |
| Site commissioning day rate | Yes | Yes (model assumption) |
| Archive and review handling (internal) | Yes | No |
UNCERTAIN cells flag line items where tradvolt has no current supplier quote on file.
To request a shipment-specific quote (HS code verification, broker fee, OEM datasheet revision check, TIB nomination), submit the RFQ form:
Implementation note: no dataLayer push is attached to this RFQ CTA. (No PDF download is offered on this revision — the previous /downloads/... path was a placeholder and has been removed.)
Q1. Which version of UN38.3 applies to a BMS shipment leaving CN after the latest UN manual revision?
A. The UN Manual of Tests and Criteria (UN publication ST/SG/AC.10/11, "UN Manual of Tests and Criteria") revision in force on the day of shipment applies (R1). The UN page currently lists ST/SG/AC.10/11/Rev.7; check at FAT whether a newer Rev. has been issued and re-pin accordingly. The OEM must hold a current UN38.3 test summary covering T.1–T.8; the TIB checks the revision date during CID.
Q2. Who signs the site acceptance — tradvolt, the contractor, or both?
A. Both. The site engineer (contractor) signs the commissioning log; tradvolt Compliance countersigns the acceptance file closure.
Q3. Can CE marking alone satisfy UK acceptance post-Brexit?
A. CE marking is recognised for limited categories. Where the BMS falls under a UK designated standard, a UKCA Declaration of Conformity is required alongside CE. The export coordinator confirms the route per shipment. CE is issued under the Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 (EU Battery Regulation) framework; UKCA certificate identifier is to be confirmed per shipment (R4).
Q4. What is the SoC band during sea transit?
A. The band is set by the OEM per cell chemistry and recorded in SoC-Shipping-Window.xlsx. For the reference equipment (Sungrow SBH100-400 / EVE LF304 LFP) the shipping-window figure is taken from the OEM datasheet at RFQ and recorded as a model assumption until confirmed per shipment. The TIB verifies at loading.
Q5. How are firmware updates handled during commissioning?
A. FW version is pinned before shipment. Updates after commissioning follow a separate change-control procedure outside this SOP. The pinned version is recorded in BMS-FW-Release-Notes-<version>.pdf (R1, R12).
HS code / UK duty: PENDING. For the reference equipment (EVE LF304 LFP cell + Sungrow SBH100-400 BMS cabinet) the export coordinator must look up the classification before issuing the booking confirmation. Concrete lookup path:
